Orange is not my favorite color and most of the flowers in my garden are pink and purple. But every year for Thanksgiving I buy orange mums and then plant them on my orange side garden. This amaryllis was given to me as a gift several Christmas's ago and has decided this year to bloom for Thanksgiving. I took 2 pictures of it. One is the rich orange color and the other is the sun back lighting the flower. I thought it looked awesome and think I might paint it in watercolor.
